The Alliance is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead design activities for water and wastewater projects. You will review calculations, drawings, and 3D models, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Anglian Water specifications. Hybrid working with occasional site/office visits, supporting professional growth, and contributing to offsite construction and digital engineering initiatives.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

We're looking for an

experienced engineer with a passion for technical excellence and team leadership.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent industry experience).
• Significant civil design experience within the UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of Design & Build project environments.
• Experience in reinforced concrete design and water-retaining structures.
• Knowledge of drainage systems, buried pipelines, ground engineering, and site infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing and approving engineering designs and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and design-related health & safety requirements.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
• Ideally Chartered (ICE or IStructE) or working towards chartership.
• Experience with BIM and 3D design environments.
• Knowledge of steel and masonry design.
• Interest in digital engineering, offsite construction, and sustainable design practices.

The @one Alliance is a pioneering collaboration between Anglian Water and seven industry-leading partners, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme across the East of England.
