Job summary

Cygnet Group is seeking a confident Strategic Buyer (Estates Fixed Assets) to lead procurement across the Estates Fixed Asset category in healthcare and social care sites. You will work 37.5 hours per week, with a remote capacity but 1-2 days at London or Kings Hill offices.

The role focuses on delivering value for money, supplier performance, and governance compliance while developing purchasing strategies and managing contracts to support frontline care services.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Strategic Buyer in a healthcare setting.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
• Experience managing large-scale sourcing projects from development to implementation.
• Ability to work across multiple business units and manage supplier base.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement activity within the Estates Fixed Assets category.
• Drive category spend consolidation across multiple business units to maximise cost efficiency.
• Analyse spend, prepare business cases, and implement procurement led improvement initiatives.
• Support key stakeholders in the management and evaluation of supplier contracts.
• Actively manage the Estates Fixed Assets supplier base, focusing on continuous improvement and cost control.
• Deliver procurement solutions that support frontline care services and operational excellence.
• Ensure category spend aligns with business goals and meets governance, legal and regulatory standards.
