National Grid is seeking a Senior Category Buyer to join the Group Indirects Facilities Management category. The role is hybrid with a Warwick base, requiring 2 days in the office per week and the rest from home.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing activities, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and drive value across a diverse project portfolio. Responsibilities include developing category strategies, managing tender processes, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes while mentoring

• Experience delivering complex sourcing activities and commercial outcomes.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and category management is required.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across Facilities Management and related services.
• Develop and execute category strategies with the Category Manager.
• Challenge demand, shape requirements and identify value opportunities with stakeholders.
• Manage complex tender processes and commercial evaluations.
• Conduct supply market analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Support contract implementation and supplier performance with Contract Managers.
