Kudos Services in London and Warrington is seeking a commercially minded Buyer to join our procurement team. You will procure maintenance services, materials and consumables to support operations, ensuring value for money and compliance across projects.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will manage competitive tenders, supplier engagement, bid evaluation and contract award, while monitoring supplier performance and delivering cost savings and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement, buying or supply chain role, ideally within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, Construction or a similar operational environment.
• Experience managing tender processes, evaluating bids and negotiating supplier contracts to achieve best value outcomes.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse costs, identify savings opportunities and negotiate favourable terms.

Responsabilités

• Manage competitive tender exercises for lifecycle projects and Tenant Work Variations, including tender documentation and supplier engagement.
• Bid evaluation and recommendation of preferred suppliers; align procurement decisions with budgets.

• Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + Annual Bonus
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Kudos Services is a specialist facilities management provider delivering services across complex healthcare and PPP/PFI estates throughout the UK. We are seeking an organised and commercially aware Buyer to join our team and support the procurement and supply chain activities that underpin the successful delivery of our facilities management services.

Key Requirements

• Experience in a procurement, buying or supply chain role, ideally within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, Construction or a similar operational environment.
• Experience managing tender processes, evaluating bids and negotiating supplier contracts to achieve best value outcomes.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse costs, identify savings opportunities and negotiate favourable terms.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance and ensuring quality, compliance and service standards are maintained.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Buyer will be responsible for procuring maintenance services, materials and consumable items to support operational delivery across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring procurement activities deliver value for money whilst supporting service quality, compliance and operational performance.

You will manage competitive tender exercises for lifecycle projects and Tenant Work Variations, including the preparation of tender documentation, supplier engagement, bid evaluation and recommendation of preferred suppliers. Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders, you will ensure procurement decisions align with business objectives and approved budgets. The role will also involve developing and managing an effective supply chain, monitoring supplier performance, negotiating pricing and service agreements, identifying cost saving opportunities and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will maintain accurate procurement records and provide reporting on expenditure, savings, procurement activity and supplier performance.

About You

You are a commercially aware procurement professional with a proactive approach and a passion for delivering value through effective supplier and contract management. You enjoy building strong relationships, influencing stakeholders and identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.

You will have experience working within facilities management, construction, maintenance or a similar service led environment and be confident managing procurement activities from tender through to contract award and supplier management. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail and the ability to balance commercial considerations with operational requirements will be essential. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a CIPS qualification and have experience operating within a regulated or contract driven environment where quality, compliance and cost control are critical to success.
