Qualifications

• Experience in public sector procurement and contract administration.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of contracts and provider relationships.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Proactively and consistently ensure that an effective and efficient procurement service is provided that is compliant with the Trust’s SFI and procurement legislation.
• The post holder will be responsible for supporting a small portfolio of bronze level contracts with multiple providers.
• The post holder will actively assist in the contract management and administration of a wide range of healthcare providers including Acute, Community, Primary Care (GPs) and Primary Care Networks, the Independent Sector and the Voluntary Sector.
• Utilise public procurement frameworks and personally call off contracts where required.
• Support in the production of formal and informal reports, receiving complex information, be able to communicate recommendations and reviews for guidance and information purposes.
• Identify and develop opportunities for joint working with other partners.
• To develop and manage relationships with providers which ensures they are held to account for delivery.
• Will ensure that business processes are effective and efficient and enable the highest possible levels of service quality to be provided.
• Supporting contract negotiations and ongoing contract management, including contracts held with third party providers.
• To identify savings at every opportunity and highlighting instances where cooperation is required to achieve them.
