Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Category Buyer to join the Group Indirects Procurement team in the UK. The role focuses on Facilities Management contracts and services, delivering procurement strategies, supplier relationships and performance improvements across a diverse portfolio.

The role is hybrid with the Warwick base office; you will travel occasionally, and a full UK driving licence is required. A competitive salary, bonus and pension are offered along with flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• CIPS Level 4 qualification and working towards Level 5 or 6.
• Experience managing Professional Services contracts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulated or public sector procurement environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of procurement activities across the Facilities Management category.
• Manage sourcing events and procurement projects from requirement through to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Support contract and supplier performance management activities.
• Identify opportunities to drive value, efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards.
