Job summary

7 Steel UK is seeking a Strategic Buyer to drive coordinated supply chain strategies and spend interpretation across 7 Steel UK and 7 Steel Service. You will collaborate with diverse teams to identify savings opportunities and streamline supplier engagement.

You will travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to meet suppliers, visit depots, and support our decarbonisation and circular economy goals. CIPS qualification is preferred, with adaptability and energy valued above all.

• Travel across the UK and occasionally internationally to meet with UK and ASEAN based suppliers and visit 7 Steel Service depots and 7 Steel Nordics.

Job description

Joining us as a Strategic Buyer, your role will be varied and exciting, as your time will be spent between 7 Steel UK and 7 Steel Service. Your main responsibilities will include the development of coordinated supply chain strategies, interpretation of spends and suppliers, and identification of opportunities for common sourcing across 7 Steel.

We are looking for someone who is willing to travel across the UK, and occasionally internationally, to meet with our UK and ASEAN based suppliers, as well as visit 7 Steel Service depots and 7 Steel Nordics. You will be a confident collaborator and communicator, to effectively manage this stakeholder engagement, as well as working closely with your team. Preferably, you will be CIPS qualified, but what is most important to us, is that you’re adaptable, driven and bring energy to the team.
