Job summary

• Place orders against predetermined price lists and supply agreements.
• Obtain quotations from pre-approved suppliers for items outside price agreements.
• Expedite orders and confirm expected delivery dates.
• Keep systems and facilities up to date with relevant information.
• Review and sign off invoices to ensure prompt payment.
• Provide holiday cover within the team.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Buyer to join our Procurement Team, based at our site in Dalton, Thirsk. This is a hyrbid working role, and the working hours are Monday-Thursdauy 8:30-5:15 and Friday 8:30-3.

In the Buyer position you will become a key member of an established Group Procurement Team, ensuring the order placement of in-direct consumables for numerous business units across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Managing inbound purchase requisitions from multiple production facilities and processing in a timely manner
• Placing orders against predetermined price list and supply agreements
• Obtaining quotations from pre-approved suppliers for items outside of our price agreements
• Expediting of orders and confirming expected delivery dates
