Job summary

Carter Murray is seeking an experienced bids and pursuits professional to lead high-value opportunities across international markets. You will work with partners, business development teams, and senior stakeholders to craft winning strategies and manage opportunities from qualification to submission and post-bid review.

You will influence pursuit strategy, tailor messaging, and drive compliance, quality, and continuous improvement across the bid lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bids, pursuits, proposals, or business development within legal, professional services, or a comparable environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex, strategic opportunities and delivering successful work-winning outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence with senior professionals.
• Excellent proposal writing, editing, and content development skills with clear value propositions.
• Excellent project management and organisational capabilities with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of bids and pursuits from qualification through submission and post-pursuit analysis.
• Develop winning strategies, value propositions and messaging tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence pursuit strategy and support revenue growth.
• Drive quality, compliant client-focused submissions and best practice in pursuits.
• Analyse bid performance data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
• Maintain bid content, tools, and knowledge resources to boost efficiency and quality.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior bids and pursuits professionals.
• Partner with senior leadership to foster a growth-oriented culture.
