Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions based in Rugeley, Staffordshire has an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to join the business development team.

The Bid Manager takes end-to-end responsibility for bids, coordinating cross-functional inputs from engineering, commercial, and operations to deliver high-quality, timely proposals.

Candidates should have proven bid management experience, strong communication skills, and be comfortable travelling UK and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven bid management experience, preferably in Defence/Aerospace.
• Strong written and verbal communication; client-facing at all levels.
• Organized, able to work under time pressure to deliver outcomes.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and complex engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bids from opportunity through to contract award.
• Develop bid strategies to deliver growth and improve win rates.
• Be the focal point for the customer during the bid lifecycle.
• Lead bid kick-off, assign actions and manage the bid schedule.
• Coordinate inputs from Engineering, PM, Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations.
• Prepare and contribute to technical and commercial bid documents, including delivery plans.
• Manage customer onboarding and due diligence processes.
• Track opportunities through the CRM and identify further opportunities.
• Oversee order acceptance and handover to delivery teams.
• Coordinate weekly and future resource requirements with engineering and delivery teams.
• Own and continually improve the bid management process and frameworks.
