Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking a Bid Estimator to develop accurate, competitive tenders for renewable energy and electrical infrastructure projects from enquiry to submission. The role focuses on pre-construction cost, risk, and bid pricing, collaborating with engineering and procurement to craft buildable, profitable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have NEC/FIDIC contract experience, EHV and grid-scale knowledge, and strong IT and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HNC in Electrical Eng, QS, or Construction Management.
• Commercial accreditation/advanced NEC/FIDIC contract experience.
• Experience on Energy Networks infrastructure and renewables projects.
• Proven ability to structure bottom-up estimates for EHV assets.
• Knowledge of Grid-Scale BESS and transmission regulations.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Review tender/ITT docs, drawings and scope.
• Develop detailed estimates of labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Obtain and assess supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and project teams to create competitive solutions.
• Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions and allowances.
• Prepare tender clarifications, pricing schedules and documentation.
• Support with construction methodology, programme and resource planning.
• Review NEC/NEC4 terms and assess cost impact.
• Prepare internal estimates for governance and approval.
• Ensure timely tender submissions and handover of successful bids.
