Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited in the North-West is seeking two Senior Bid Managers to lead high‑value bid proposals for building services and renewable energy projects. You will own the bid lifecycle from expressions of interest to contract award, coordinating cross‑functional teams and ensuring compliant, compelling submissions.

The role requires at least five years in bid management, strong technical knowledge of energy solutions, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Degree qualified in a relevant field.
• Industry experience: Minimum of 5 years in bid management within building services; renewables desirable.
• Project management: Proven track record in managing complex, high-value bids.
• Technical knowledge: Understanding of building services engineering, energy solutions and renewables.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team and manage multiple projects.
• IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bid process from expression of interest to contract award.
• Develop winning bid strategies aligned with objectives and market trends.
• Engage stakeholders to gather information and ensure alignment.
• Produce compelling bid documents, including executive summaries and financial models.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with bids and proposed solutions.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and competitors.
• Mentor junior bid team members and foster high performance.
• Implement best practices to improve bid efficiency and success rates.
