Precept Recruit is recruiting a Business Development Manager for a Derby-based, hybrid role with a fast-growing UK sovereign technology client at a pivotal stage in its journey.

You’ll drive pipeline growth across government and defence, building relationships with senior stakeholders and shaping opportunities with cross-functional teams. The role offers excellent benefits and a competitive salary depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience selling into defence and national security organisations.
• Proven ability to generate pipeline from scratch.
• Comfortable working in long sales cycles and ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of growth areas.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline from early stage engagement
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers
• Navigate complex organisations and map buying and funding environments
• Qualify opportunities and prioritise high value prospects
• Work closely with technical and leadership teams to shape opportunities
