The Plumbing Distribution Company Ltd is seeking a Sales Account Executive in Chelmsford to manage an established customer portfolio and develop new business across the UK. You will work closely with operations, purchasing, logistics and management to drive sales and gross profit while delivering exceptional service.

Ideal candidates will have B2B sales or account management experience, strong communication skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in B2B sales or account management.
• Proven ability to manage and grow customer accounts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage and develop an established portfolio of plumbing and builders' merchant customers.
• Achieve agreed sales, revenue and account growth targets.
• Handle inbound sales enquiries by telephone, email, WhatsApp and customer portal.
• Proactively contact existing and new customers to generate new business.
• Build relationships with key customer decision makers.
• Identify upselling, cross-selling and product promotion opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and follow up opportunities to maximise conversion.
• Manage the sales process from enquiry through to order completion.
• Identify and secure new merchant accounts across the UK.
• Reactivate dormant customers and develop underperforming accounts.
• Maintain monthly customer contact programme.
• Follow up quotations within 48 hours.
• Maintain CRM records and sales activity.
• Monitor account performance and pipeline development.
