Heathrow roofing and building services ltd in Slough is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager specialising in roofing and building materials. The role focuses on growing our market presence by winning new business, nurturing client relationships, and forming strategic partnerships across the roofing and construction sectors.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £36,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in business development or sales within the roofing or building materials industry.
• Strong familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and other CRM software for managing client relationships and sales pipelines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets through proactive outreach and relationship management.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on strategic growth initiatives is preferred.
• Some B2B sales, customer service or construction/merchant experience is helpful — but graduates are welcome and full training is given.

Responsibilities

• Win new business across contractors, builders, developers and merchants
• Manage and grow existing trade accounts
• Work from our warehouse advising customers, handling enquiries and helping with orders
• Support the trade counter and walk-in customers with product knowledge and quotes
• Hit and exceed sales and margin targets
• Spot new opportunities in fresh sectors and territories
• Work closely with the estimating and supply teams to turn leads into orders
