Job summary

National Grid in Warwick seeks a Head of Strategic Asset Management to shape investment and maintenance of the asset base. You will lead the Asset Management Strategy, align with regulatory commitments and deliver value for customers in a Net Zero transition.

You will build senior stakeholder consensus, drive governance, and mentor a high‑performing team while delivering clear business plans and investment cases for the network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Economics or Business or related field.
• Senior Asset Management, strategic planning or investment leadership experience.
• Proven ability to translate complex challenges into clear priorities and outcomes.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the Asset Management Strategy to align with objectives and regulatory commitments.
• Translate strategy into clear priorities and investment decisions for the network.
• Govern frameworks and processes linking strategy, asset plans and delivery.
• Champion Asset Management through education, engagement and communication.
• Lead continuous improvement of Asset Management systems to best practice.
• Shape long-term asset plans and investment cases with evidenced costs and benefits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Regulation, Engineering, Operations and Planning teams.
