Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Storesperson to manage yard stores and movement of materials for field operations. You will liaise with supervisors and operatives to order and distribute supplies, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

The role requires a Telehandler license, experience with reach trucks, and strong stock control. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics and MS Office is expected, with a focus on safety and compliance in a busy yard environment.

Qualifications

• Telehandler license is essential and experience with reach trucks preferred.
• Strong stock control and warehouse procedures knowledge.
• Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics and standard software (Excel, Word, email).

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor depot and stores locations with strong housekeeping.
• Issue stock to Operations teams and record all issued stock in the system.
• Check stock levels regularly and store, catalogue and distribute supplies.
• Coordinate collection and delivery of equipment and packages to site operations.
• Ensure PPE availability and supplier delivery specifications compliance.
• Support safe yard operations with health, safety and compliance practices.

Job description

As a Storesperson, you will have ultimate responsibility for everything that moves within the yard and stores. You will liaise with supervisors and operatives to support the ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for use in field operations. You will successfully employ best business practices to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and increase performance.
This role will be a 50hr working week, Mon- Fri. Overtime options are available on a rota covering Sat- Sun mornings

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to:

• Establish and continuously monitor the depot and stores location, ensuring strong housekeeping
• Issue all stock to Operations teams
• Accurately capture, and record of all stock issued in Microsoft Dynamics
• Check stock levels on a regular basis
• Be responsible for storing, cataloguing and distributing supplies by arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and or packages
• Ensure relationships are in place to source strategic stock at short noti
• Ensure there is appropriate PPE to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure suppliers maintain compliance with delivery specifications
• Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Someone to ensure Health, Safety & compliance within the yard

Experience and Qualifications

• Communication – Good verbal and written communication skills
• HSE - Adherence to safety policies and regulations
• Telehandler license is essential
• Computer knowledge including excel, Word, email
• An understanding of the materials needed to maintain operations
• Reach truck or telehandler experience preferred
• Computer / logistics / stores experience preferred
