Job description

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Stores Operator to join our fast-paced logistics team on a permanent contract. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our supply chain, managing the flow of parts from the moment they arrive until they are safely delivered.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Goods Receiving & Admin: Accurately accept incoming parts, inspect them for quality, and book them into our computer system.
• Inventory Management: Efficiently put away parts in their designated locations and conduct regular stock checking to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Kitting & Issuing: Execute transfer order kitting and manage the bulk issuing of components.
• Export Preparation: Precisely pick and securely wrap goods ensuring they are ready for export.
• Distribution: Undertake nationwide driving duties to transport parts and materials securely across the country.
• General Support: Perform other ad-hoc daily duties within the warehouse to support the smooth running of the logistics department.

What We Are Looking For

• Driving License (Essential): You must hold a full, valid driving license to fulfil the nationwide driving elements of the role.
• Computer Literacy: Comfortable using computers for data entry and booking in parts.
• Experience (Advantageous): Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment is preferred.
• Forklift License (Advantageous): A Counterbalance Forklift truck license is a distinct advantage, but it is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Attributes: A strong eye for detail and a safety-conscious mindset.
