Job summary

Go Traffic Management Limited in Worsley is seeking a Storesperson for a fixed term contract. You will manage yard stores, liaise with supervisors and operatives to support ordering and distribution of materials for field operations, and uphold best practices to drive efficiency and reduce costs.

This role involves a 50-hour working week, Mon-Fri, with overtime on a rota covering Sat-Sun mornings. A Telehandler license and experience with stock management systems are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Adherence to safety policies and regulations (HSE).
• Telehandler license is essential.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and email literacy required.
• Understanding of materials needed to maintain operations.
• Experience with Sage stock management is preferred.
• Reach truck or telehandler experience is preferred.
• Computer / logistics / stores experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor the depot and stores location with strong housekeeping.
• Issue stock to Operations teams.
• Record stock issued in Microsoft Dynamics.
• Check stock levels regularly.
• Store, catalogue and distribute supplies; arrange collection and delivery of equipment and/or packages.
• Source strategic stock at short notice.
• Ensure PPE is available to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure suppliers meet delivery specifications.
• Check quantities against delivery notes and POs.
• Maintain Health, Safety & compliance within the yard.

Compensation: £13.00 / hour

Description

As a Storesperson, you will have ultimate responsibility for everything that moves within the yard and stores. You will liaise with supervisors and operatives to support the ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for use in field operations. You will successfully employ best business practices to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and increase performance.

This role will be a 50hr working week, Mon- Fri. Overtime options are available on a rota covering Sat- Sun mornings

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to:

• Establish and continuously monitor the depot and stores location, ensuring strong housekeeping
• Issue all stock to Operations teams
• Accurately capture, and record of all stock issued in Microsoft Dynamics
• Check stock levels on a regular basis
• Be responsible for storing, cataloguing and distributing supplies by arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and or packages
• Ensure relationships are in place to source strategic stock at short noti
• Ensure there is appropriate PPE to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure suppliers maintain compliance with delivery specifications
• Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Someone to ensure Health, Safety & compliance within the yard

Experience and Qualifications
