  • Ensure incoming materials are correctly labelled, recorded and stored.
  • Maintain accurate stock records across all inventory movements.

  • Prepare goods for despatch and ensure orders are ready within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with transport and logistics providers to coordinate collections and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised warehouse and stores area.
  • Maximise available storage space while ensuring materials remain accessible and easy to locate.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Planning, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure material availability supports production requirements.
  • Provide clear updates on stock levels, shortages, discrepancies and potential supply issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve stores processes, stock accuracy and overall efficiency.
Essential
  • Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, stock control or materials environment, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering or food production setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a busy operational environment.
