Job summary

Premier Placement Services is seeking an Inventory Controller/Stores Assistant for their Winsford site. The role focuses on keeping precise stock records, managing goods in and out, and supporting a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

Ideal candidates will have a Counterbalance Forklift certificate, warehouse experience, basic computer skills, and strong communication with a professional, friendly attitude. Training will be provided for additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• A Counterbalance Forklift Truck Certificate.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Some computer system knowledge
• Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of goods received and goods despatched, including checking weights where required.
• Accurately book inbound deliveries onto system
• Assist with stock checks and cycle counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies stock queries.
• Produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports and statistics.
• Carry out other duties as required, subject to appropriate training.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, managing goods in and goods despatched, carrying out stock checks and resolving discrepancies. You will also help ensure inventory areas meet customer requirements, while supporting a safe, clean and efficient working environment.
