Job summary

Cawingredients Limited is seeking a Stock Controller to join our team at the Leeming Bar facility in North Yorkshire. You will support the Senior Stock Controller and Inventory Manager in maintaining stock accuracy across packaging, raw materials and ingredients, with a focus on timely issue and put-away of goods.

Working Mon-Fri 08:30am-17:00pm, you will perform weekly perpetual inventories, monitor production requires and investigate discrepancies, ensuring health and safety standards are met

Qualifications

• Recent Stock Control experience in FMCG or similar environment.
• Proficiency with CPMS/WMS systems and MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Weekly perpetual inventory on ingredients and packaging.
• Daily checks on production works orders to reconcile actual vs planned.
• Investigate discrepancies outside tolerances and rectify them.
• Carry out periodic QA stock counts and QA sheet issuance.
• Identify slow moving and aged stocks; control trial materials and rework.
• Ensure stock returned from production is properly identified and put away.
• Liaise with Technical/Quality teams for BOM accuracy and disposals.
• Cover for other stock controllers during absences; participate in year-end stock count.
• Adhere to Health and Safety standards at all times.

Job description

We have a great opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our Company. We manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK markets.

We operate from a state of the art facility in Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire

We are looking for someone to join our Stock Control team to provide inventory control in order to support the growth of the business. The stock controller will work to assist the Senior Stock Controller & Inventory Manager in maintaining stock accuracy for all Input Materials e.g. packaging, raw materials and ingredients.

Key Accountabilities:

• Weekly Perpetual Inventory on all Ingredients and/or Packaging (relevant to area of responsibility);
• Control and undertake Perpetual Inventory of other material streams as required eg Ad Mats;
• Daily check on production Works Orders to reconcile actual v planned and analysis of losses;
• Investigation and rectification of discrepancies outside agreed tolerances;
• Issue periodic QA sheet (relating to ‘Hold’ or Non Conforming Stock) (typically monthly);
• Carry out periodic QA stock count (typically monthly);
• Control QA stocks relevant to area of responsibility;
• Identify slow moving and aged stocks;
• Control of trial materials;
• Control of rework processes
• Ensure that all stock returned from production is identified and put away; accurately;
• Regular check of Bill of Materials for accuracy against actual production outputs; Liaising with Technical / Quality teams arrange disposal of material or returns to suppliers in accordance with documented procedures;
• Cover for other Stock Controllers and/or Stock Control Team Leader during holidays or other absences;
• Compulsory attendance at End of Year Stock Count;
• Any other reasonable duties or tasks as per management instruction.
• Ensure that all Company ‘Health and Safety’ standards, protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times and always working in a ‘Health and Safety’ conscious manner.
• Other additional tasks will from time to time include:
• Assist with Returnable Equipment audits, stock checks, planning, procurement and monitoring as required.
• Check and ensure that End of Line sheets are filled in accurately and filed.
• Assist with Goods Inward delivery booking schedule as required.

Skills/Experience required:

• Excellent IT literacy and high level of proficiency with CPMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Word/Excel is essential.
• Recent Stock Control experience is essential, ideally a minimum of 3 year’s recent experience in FMCG or other fast-moving consumer goods environments
• IT literacy and proficiency with SAP and WMS systems is preferred
• Ability to work unsupervised
