Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting a Stores Operative in Southampton (SO16) for a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role with a 07:30–15:30 shift at a national telecommunications client.

You will handle inbound deliveries, stock control, picking and packing, and maintain accurate records while keeping a safe, tidy warehouse. A driving licence is preferred, with immediate start available.

• Experience in warehouse, stores, logistics, or similar environments.
• Good customer service skills and IT literacy.
• Familiarity with stock control systems and scanners is desirable.

Stores Operative - Southampton

Southampton (SO16)

£15.95 per hour

Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 07:30 - 15:30

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Stores Operative on behalf of our national telecommunications client based in Southampton (SO16).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse or stores professional looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with a well-established organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and processing inbound deliveries
• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Sorting and storing stock safely and accurately on racks and shelves
• Completing inventory and stock control activities using scanners and computer systems
• Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation
• Providing excellent customer service to internal teams, external customers, and contractors
• Ensuring a safe, clean, and organised working environment

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, stores, logistics, or operational environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Good IT and computer literacy
• Experience using stock control systems, scanners, or warehouse management systems (desirable)
• A full UK driving licence (preferred for occasional driving duties)
• The ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting loads of up to 25kg
• A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
