Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is hiring a Warehouse Operative in Southampton. Pay rates: Standard £12.71/hr rising to £12.79 after 12 weeks; Nights £13.47/hr rising to £14.17 after 12 weeks.

Responsibilities include building crates, palletising, scanning, and sorting parcels with a target of ~2000 parcels per shift. Flexible shift patterns are available, with start times for Inbound 2pm–6pm, Twilight 12pm–4pm, Nights 8pm–midnight.

Qualificações

• Able to communicate confidently in both spoken and written English.
• Capable of understanding and following scanning, labelling, and sorting instructions.
• Physically fit to handle manual tasks and lift up to 15 kg.
• Commitment to Sundays and occasional Saturdays with flexibility across all 7 days.
• Reliable, punctual and collaborative team player.
• Flexible with shift patterns.

• Loading and unloading trailers.

Pay Rates:

• Standard: £12.71 per hour (rising to £12.79 after 12 weeks)
• Nights: £13.47 per hour (rising to £14.17 after 12 weeks)

Role Overview:

• Flexible shift patterns available, with variable start and finish times dependent on workload and parcel volumes
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Accurately scan and sort parcels according to destination ( ~min 2000 parcels per shift)

Key Requirements:

• Able to communicate confidently in both spoken and written English
• Capable of understanding and following scanning, labelling, and sorting instructions
• Physically fit to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 15 kg, when unloading trailers.
• Commitment to working Sundays and occasional Saturday's , with flexibility across all 7 days
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive approach to teamwork

Shift Patterns:

Inbound: Start times between 2pm - 6pm

Twilight: Start times between 12pm - 4pm

Nights: Start times between 8pm - midnight

Shifts typically last 5-9 hours; longer hours may be required during peak periods.

Due to the nature of the operation, start and finish times cannot be guaranteed in advance and will vary according to workload, so a flexible approach to working hours is required.
