Job summary

Staffline is seeking a Warehouse Operative to work at our client’s busy Southampton site. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity with full training and on-site support from Staffline.

The role involves operating manual handling equipment in a large chilled warehouse, picking a range of fresh produce, using pallet trucks and trigger scanners, and stacking items into roll cages. Weekend shifts offer higher rates of pay, and a drug & alcohol test will be part of onboarding.

Job description

Warehouse Operative

to work in our client's busy warehouse in Southampton, this is a fantastic temp to permanent opportunity!

Working Hours

• 2pm to 10pm
• 3pm to 11pm
• 4pm to 00:00am (Midnight)

Weekend shifts are available at a higher rate of pay!

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative at this site, you will:

• Operate manual handling equipment in a large chilled warehouse
• Pick a variety of fresh produce, ranging from vegetables to dairy products and desserts
• Use both manual and electrical pallet trucks, you'll stack items into roll cages. You'll be guided by digital wrist-mounted computers and trigger scanners
• Other duties may include loading and unloading items and keeping the site tidy, clean and hygienic.

Applicants must also be flexible in your approach to working hours.

No previous experience is necessary as a Warehouse Operative/Production Operative as full training is provided.

A drug and alcohol test will be carried out as part of the onboarding process.
