Orion Electrotech is seeking a Stores Operative to join its Supply Chain team. This hands-on role focuses on picking, packing, dispatch coordination, and maintaining an efficient stores area to support production and deliveries.

You will ensure stock accuracy, book goods in and out, and work with ERP systems in a busy manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment.
• Strong picking, packing and dispatch experience.
• Good attention to detail with an organised stock control approach.
• Experience using ERP, warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a busy operational environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and issuing materials to production.
• Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers.
• Booking goods in and out, maintaining stock records and updating ERP systems.
• Keeping the stores area organised and ensuring stock accuracy.
• Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting production while complying with quality and health & safety procedures.

The role of a Stores Operative will include:

• Picking, packing and issuing materials to production
• Organising daily dispatch activities and preparing shipments for UK and international customers
• Booking goods in and out, maintaining accurate stock records and updating ERP systems
• Keeping the stores area organised, ensuring stock accuracy and supporting inventory control activities
• Verifying deliveries against purchase orders and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting production requirements while ensuring compliance with quality and health &; safety procedures

The ideal Stores Operative should have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment
• Strong picking, packing and dispatch experience
• Good attention to detail with an organised and methodical approach to stock control
