Job summary

Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency is seeking a Stores Operative for a busy manufacturing site in Thetford. You will support logistics and stores operations, use barcode scanners and MRP systems, and assist with goods handling and material movements across the site.

The role offers a rotating shift (06:00-18:00), with shorter hours on Fridays. A valid forklift licence is required or willingness to train; driving licence is preferred and good Health & Safety awareness is essential.

Are you an experienced Production or Warehouse Operative looking for a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment? Do you have an in-date counterbalance forklift license?

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Thetford. This role will involve supporting logistics and stores operations within a fast-paced production environment, helping to ensure materials and products efficiently across site.

The role will require you to work a rotating shift between the hours of 06:00-18:00. Early shift is between 06:00-14:30 & the late shift is 09:30-18:00. Shorter hours on Fridays.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, working both independently and as part of a team.

We are only considering candidates with a valid forklift license.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out logistics and stores duties within a manufacturing environment


• Support stock movements using barcode scanners and MRP systems


• Assist with goods handling, storage, and material movements across site


• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety within the work area

About You

• Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics role


• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and MRP systems


• FLT or Side Loader licence advantageous (or willingness to train)


• Full UK Driving Licence preferred


• Good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment


• Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team


• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
