Job summary

Select Recruitment in Thetford is seeking an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage the stores operation within a manufacturing environment. You will lead a small team, coordinate with Purchasing and Production, and ensure accurate stock control and efficient receiving, put-away and issue processes.

The role requires a forklift licence, a full UK driving licence, strong IT skills, and excellent communication. You will contribute to continuous improvement of stock systems and safety compliance.

Stores Team Leader | Thetford | Permanent | Early Finish Fridays

Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Thetford, is looking for an experienced Stores Team Leader to manage its stores operation.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll lead a small stores team, be responsible for a wide product range and work closely with Purchasing and Production to keep the business supplied.

Key tasks:

• Leading, motivating and training the stores team, and managing performance through regular reviews
• Meeting daily with the Production Manager and Team Leaders to plan requirements and resolve stock or production issues
• Making sure all deliveries are booked in and put away correctly, and all issues are booked out, every day
• Liaising daily with Purchasing on orders and keeping the stock and purchasing system accurate
• Running monthly rolling stock takes efficiently and on time
• Following quality control procedures and standard operating procedures
• Owning health and safety in stores, including risk assessments, weekly audits, accident investigation and making sure equipment is maintained to regulations
• Spotting opportunities and driving continuous improvement in stock management systems, processes and controls

Experience required:
