Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering a training post in the Pharmacy Stores team. Start on Band 2 with progression to Band 3 upon successful completion of required skills and training.

Flexible working options such as part-time hours, condensed hours, or job share may be explored. The role provides structured training and a chance to grow within a large, diverse pharmacy service across multiple sites, including clinical ward services and aseptic areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receipt and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Assembling of pharmaceutical orders.
• Work closely with the pharmacy automated dispensing systems.
• Driving and delivery of pharmaceuticals to trust sites.
• Distribution of medical gases.
• Co-ordination of daily medicines distribution.
• Frequent requirement to push heavy trolleys, cages and other equipment.
• Training will be provided.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to progress within the Pharmacy Stores team. You will undergo a structured training plan with additional curricular qualifications and certificates.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join our expanding pharmacy team. The team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust comprises of approximately 500 pharmacy staff working across five sites and is one of the biggest pharmacy departments in the country.

Our inclusive and diverse pharmacy department has a strong clinical presence in all areas. We are innovative and forward-thinking and have invested in a host of technical improvements, including robotics and a state of the art, multi-million-pound technical services unit. We offer a wide range of roles across different areas of the service including clinical ward services, aseptic services, homecare, medicines supply, medicines information, medicines governance, education & training, clinical trials, and research.

Please also note this vacancy is a training post so all applicants will start at Band 2 and upon completion of necessary skills and/ or training will progress to Band 3.

Experience of a driving role is essential for applicants for this post.
