Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Ramsgate is seeking a Stores Operative to support warehouse and logistics operations in an offshore wind environment. The role involves picking, packing, dispatching parts, and handling stock alongside forklift operations under site safety rules.

You will manage inventory, calibration status of tools, and documentation for Dangerous Goods, while coordinating with SAP for stock movement and incident reporting.

Qualifications

  • Forklift licence required; counterbalance preferred.
  • Experience in stock counts/investigation and expiry date management.
  • SAP experience advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Professional or fluent English.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack and dispatch parts, tools and equipment in a timely and accurate manner to support operational requirements.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklift equipment, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Mobilise vessels and load/unload vessel cargo using a telehandler in accordance with operational schedules.
  • Manage the calibration status of tools and equipment, coordinating the return of items due for calibration.
  • Monitor and maintain inspection records for PPE, lifting equipment and associated assets to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare Dangerous Goods documentation and manifests in line with IMDG regulations and company procedures.
  • Conduct periodic inventory and stock counts, investigating and resolving stock discrepancies where identified.
  • Receive, issue and consume stock through SAP, maintaining accurate inventory records at all times.
  • Manage waste streams in accordance with environmental and company standards.
  • Support warehouse and logistics operations through effective stock control and materials management.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture by adhering to site procedures and reporting hazards, incidents and observations through the RITAS system.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring storage areas, warehouses and operational workspaces remain clean, organised and safe.

Profile:

  • Forklift licence, counterbalance preferred.
  • Experience in stock counts/stock investigation, experience in managing expiry dates
  • SAP experience would be an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Professional or fluent understanding of the English language
