ASCO Group Limited is seeking a Stores Person in Peterhead for a full-time position. You'll play a crucial role in materials management, focusing on inventory accuracy, receiving operations, and general warehouse tasks. Successful candidates will have experience in the oil and gas industry, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP. A current Forklift License is mandatory. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of UK Oil & Gas guidelines with a track record of compliance.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and systems such as SAP/Maximo.

  • Assist in preparing materials for shipment.
  • Help maintain accurate records of inventory transactions.

Location: Peterhead

Duration: Permanent

Work Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday (0800 - 1700)

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Person who will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of materials management functions. Reporting to the Team Lead, this role focuses on supporting receiving operations, material handling and storage, inventory management, and various general warehouse duties, all contributing to the accuracy of inventory, safety, and overall warehouse efficiency.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the Warehouse Team Leader in receiving incoming shipments.
  • Assist in verifying received materials against delivery paperwork and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing materials for shipment to offshore platforms, ensuring items are correctly picked, packed, labelled, and documented in accordance with offshore logistics and safety requirements.
  • Help investigate and resolve issues related to received materials.
  • Assist in moving materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Support the proper storage and organisation of materials in compliance with procedures.
  • Ensure materials are correctly labelled, identified, and stored to prevent damage or loss.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits as directed.
  • Help maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adjustments.
  • Support the Warehouse Team Leader in updating the materials system with relevant information.
  • Aid in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Assist in maintaining housekeeping standards and adhering to safety protocols.
