Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Stores Operative to support maintenance teams in Exeter, ensuring smooth flow of spare parts, PPE and supplies across sites. This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and reliable delivery of goods and services for ongoing projects.

You will work within the Logistics and Stores team, handling stock checks, supplier coordination, and purchase orders while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Proficient with IT systems, especially MS Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock by booking out parts and processing returns, including PPE distribution across sites.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Receive and check goods, ensuring quality and correct recording in the system.
• Raise purchase orders and arrange logistics for deliveries using established methods.
• Support invoice queries and conduct regular stock audits to maintain accuracy.
