Job summary

Co-op Group in Abingdon is seeking a Customer Team Leader to guide a small team on shift, keep shelves stocked, and deliver friendly service in a busy store. You’ll help run day-to-day operations, oversee tills, and ensure customer satisfaction while supporting community engagement.

The role is part-time (24 hours per week) with regular overtime, based in a community-focused Co-op store, offering benefits and opportunities to grow within the cooperative.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership
• The ability to work flexibly and lead by example
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential)

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth
