Job summary

The Co-op Group is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage a small team in a busy store, delivering essential community services and helping customers access our range, including potential duties in the post office or bakery.

You will own the day‑to‑day running of the store on your shift, motivate and coach staff, work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, and support merchandising and stock accuracy while championing Co‑op membership.

Qualifications

• Leadership passion and ability to lead a small team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings and weekends.
• Retail or merchandising experience desired but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co‑op through community engagement and membership growth.
