Job summary

Co-op in Egremont is hiring a Customer Team Leader to run daily store operations, lead a small team, and ensure excellent customer service. You’ll work on the shop floor and tills, support merchandising and stock control, and help grow community engagement and Co-op membership.

You'll need a passion for people, a flexible approach, and retail/merchandising know-how. This role offers part-time hours (30 per week), regular overtime, and a permanent contract with benefits.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
