Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Customer Team Leader to guide a small team in a local Co-op store. You will oversee daily operations, support service delivery on the shop floor and tills, and help maintain stock accuracy and merchandising standards. This is a 24-hour per week, six-month temporary role with regular overtime.

You’ll lead by example, work flexibly across shifts including early mornings and weekends, and engage with customers and the community to promote Co-op memberships and local initiatives.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Skills in retail, merchandising, or team management (experience not essential).

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
