Job summary

WHSmith Europe is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead store recruitment across the UK. Based in Swindon or London with hybrid working, you will deliver end-to-end recruitment for UK store vacancies, from advertising and sourcing to screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.

You will build talent pipelines for high-volume roles, advise store managers on recruitment strategies, monitor compliance, and partner with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Qualifications

• Experience hiring management-level candidates for UK stores.
• Able to manage 40+ vacancies concurrently.
• Strong stakeholder-management and customer-service skills.
• Knowledge of retail industry and local labour markets.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for UK store recruitment.
• Support onboarding and Right To Work checks.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for UK store vacancies.
• Develop attraction plans and candidate pipelines.
• Advise managers on effective recruitment approaches.
• Collaborate with HR to complete onboarding admin.
• Keep stakeholders updated on progress and risks.
