Job summary

Tesco PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Lead to guide store colleagues and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will oversee daily operations, support the manager, and act as the in-store lead when required.

This role offers guaranteed hours, competitive hourly pay starting at £15.59 and progression to £16.86 in certain stores. Flexible shifts and a focus on teamwork and inclusion are key.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and ensuring every customer's needs are met.
• A clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
• A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager's absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
