Job summary

Matchtech in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Store Person to join a major Water and Utilities project. You will manage materials, equipment and stock levels to keep site operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, recording stock, issuing materials and PPE, maintaining a safe stores area, conducting regular stock counts, and coordinating with procurement to ensure materials are available when required.

Qualifications

• > Experience as Store Person, Storekeeper, Materials Controller, or similar role.
• < Experience in Water/ Utilities / Civils / Construction sectors desired.
• < Good organisational and time management skills.
• < Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• < Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• < Proficient with stock management systems and MS Office.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Store Person to join our team on a major Water and Utilities project based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing organisation supporting critical infrastructure works across the water sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing materials, equipment, and stock levels to ensure the smooth running of site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and recording deliveries of materials and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
• Issuing materials, tools, and PPE to site personnel.
• Organising and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient stores environment.
• Conducting regular stock counts and audits.
• Coordinating with procurement and site teams to ensure materials are available when required.
• Managing goods-in and goods-out processes.
• Ensuring all materials are stored correctly and safely.
• Assisting with plant and equipment tracking and inspections.
• Adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Store Person, Storekeeper, Materials Controller, or similar role.
• Experience within the Water, Utilities, Civils, Construction, or Infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and stock management systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
• Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
