Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Milton Keynes is seeking a reliable Stores Person to join a busy team. The role focuses on maintaining an efficient stores environment, ensuring materials are available and stock is accurately recorded and issued.

The successful candidate will manage deliveries, stock levels and liaise with suppliers, with a competitive salary (£30,000-£35,000 DOE) and a full-time permanent contract, plus benefits such as pension and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and process incoming deliveries, ensuring goods match delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
• Organise and maintain the stores area, ensuring it remains clean, tidy and safe.
• Pick, prepare and issue materials and components for production and installation teams.
• Monitor stock levels and identify when items need to be reordered.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with periodic stocktakes.
• Liaise with suppliers, couriers and internal departments regarding deliveries and stock requirements.
• Ensure all goods are stored correctly and handled safely.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods and stock shortages promptly.
• Follow company procedures relating to health and safety, manual handling and stock control.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Stores Person to join our busy and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining an efficient, well-organised stores environment and ensuring materials, stock and equipment are available when needed.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, managing stock levels and ensuring goods are received, stored and issued accurately and efficiently.
