Morrisons is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to keep our stores running smoothly, safely and efficiently. You’ll deputise for the Store Manager, leading from the front to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where colleagues feel valued and supported.

You’ll take ownership of store operations, drive high standards and coach department managers to build a confident, high-performing team, focusing on safety, availability and customer service daily.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the retail industry.
• Experience in managing large, fast-paced store operations with strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the team: Build management capability across the store, mentoring talent and supporting department heads with clear plans to help them grow.
• Keep standards high, safe, and legal: Act as the store's expert on safe and legal standards, ensuring food safety laws, hygiene, and daily routines are delivered properly every shift.
• Drive sales and availability: Use your commercial mindset to review store data, spot opportunities, and manage resources so our shelves are always well-stocked for our customers.
• Listen and improve: Work to support teams through change, listening directly to customer feedback and acting on it to keep making our daily service better.
