Job summary

Sainsbury’s in Perth is seeking a Customer and Trading Manager for the Convenience format. You’ll lead a small team, run the store on a day-to-day basis and ensure high service, availability and safe operations. You’ll be the hands-on point of accountability, with a focus on coaching colleagues and driving performance.

Salary is £31,700 with a range of benefits and a clear path to develop leadership capability within a supportive, inclusive retail environment.

Qualifications

• Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Delivers brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
• Tracks and achieves KPIs or other performance indicators.
• Experienced in managing disciplinaries and employee relations issues.
• Leads operations and can run store alone in the absence of senior management.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a small team of managers to keep the store running smoothly each day.
• Take responsibility for day-to-day running of the store with full accountability.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure customers are served efficiently and safely.
• Manage performance and scheduling, and oversee disciplinary processes when needed.
• Occasionally support another local store within the network as required.
