Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking a Deputy Store Manager Designate in the Leeds area to oversee day-to-day store operations and drive a best-in-class customer experience for pets and their owners.

You will lead a team, support recruitment and performance management, manage stock, and ensure high standards when the Store Manager is unavailable. 39 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a retail environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to work a 7-day pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Commitment to training in customer service, health and safety, and pet care.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead your team to create a fun, engaging, customer-focused environment.
• Drive sales performance and achieve KPIs.
• Oversee store operations including recruitment, stock management, and health & safety compliance.
• Act as Duty Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Lead by example and contribute to the store’s overall success.
