Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking a Deputy Store Manager Designate for Chesterfield to support store leadership and run day-to-day operations in the manager's absence. You will lead a team, assist with recruitment, performance management, stock control and health and safety to deliver outstanding customer care for pets.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of management experience in retail.
• Flexible to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Willing to commit to 6 months of training in customer service, health and safety, and pet care.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead the team to deliver a customer-focused atmosphere.
• Support recruitment, performance management, stock control and compliance with health and safety.
• Act as Duty Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable and drive sales KPI performance.
• Set example and contribute to the store’s overall success.
