Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a Store Manager Designate to oversee operations in Cardiff and surrounding stores. You will travel between local stores in your area, with the aim of securing a permanent position nearby as your career grows.

You will lead a talented team, drive customer service excellence, and create engaging in-store promotions while ensuring strong stock control and budget adherence. The package includes a competitive salary up to £34,500 per year, 39 hours weekly, full-time with flexible

Location: 1 2 and 7 Queens West, Queens Street, Cardiff, Cardiff CF10 2AQ- Designate Role - willing to travel within 1 hour of your base store until assigned a permanent location.

Hours per Week: 39 hours

Shift pattern: Full-time - flexible shift patterns across mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends, will be discussed further at interview.

Salary: Up to £34,500 per annum

The Role

As a Store Manager Designate, you'll travel between different stores in your area, supporting where you're needed most. It's a great way to meet new teams, build your skills, and enjoy plenty of variety in your day. You won't be on the move forever though-this role is designed to help you grow, with the goal of moving into a permanent store and developing your career.

As the Store Manager, you'll;

• Lead & develop a passionate team to deliver outstanding customer service & maximise performance.
• Create exciting in-store promotions and experiences.
• Ensure operational excellence, including audits, budgets, and stock management.
• Drive sales through promotions, excellent merchandising, and stock control.
• Ensure the smooth running of the store.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bringing fresh ideas from your previous experience in retail management, ideally 2+ years
• Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate.
• Passion for customer service & sales.
• Strong decision-making & problem-solving skills.
• A results-driven mindset with a love for hitting targets.
• Willingness to carry out piercing services for our customers - with full training provided (Optional)
• This role involves travel across stores in the area; therefore, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
