Retail Apprenticeship Level 3

Our apprenticeship programme can offer you the experience of working in a retail environment whilst earning and learning as you go.

This role is designed to help Assistant Store Managers (ASMs) develop a comprehensive range of knowledge and skills.

Key Areas of Development that the apprenticeship will cover:

• Leadership: Enhance your ability to lead and inspire your team.
• Operational Excellence: Learn best practices for maintaining high standards in store operations.
• Project Management: Gain skills to effectively manage projects and support day-to-day activities within the store.

Duration: 15 months plus end of programme assessment

Eligibility criteria:

• Not be in any other form of funded education or training such as college or university
• Have been an EEA/ UK resident for a minimum of three years
• Do not have a qualification at the same level, or above in the same discipline

What we’re looking for

We seek managers with strong leadership or retail experience who can support and energize a team to excel in safety, customer service, operations, and team activities.

What you are responsible for

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team and all aspects of the forecourt and store operations, including our Wild Bean Cafe.

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your team, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Ensure legal and safety compliance through all of the store’s operations e.g., food safety, underage sales, forecourt operations
• Working with the team to deliver great customer service at every level through getting the basics right and listening to our customers and driving continuous improvement
• As an Assistant Store Manager, it will be your responsibility to support with the team’s management, including engagement of the store team, development, training, recruitment, and other people related tasks.
