Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support stores across Halifax and surrounding areas. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on a range of systems and equipment, keeping the store safe, functional and welcoming.

This hands-on role requires a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills. You will be supported with training, opportunities to grow your career and the chance to contribute to one of the UK’s best known retail brands.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment.
• Digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.

Responsibilities

• Confidently interact with external contractors: coordinating repairs seamlessly.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver quality service.
• Sustain high energy levels while juggling tasks and maintaining efficiency.
• Assist the management team to keep stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Minimise customer disruption by coordinating repairs with minimal impact.
• Follow the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fix and improve efficiency.
