You will manage day-to-day operations, plan rosters, recruit and develop staff, control costs, uphold visual merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies. This role sits at the heart of a heritage footwear brand with a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in retail management with team leadership.
• Proven ability to deliver consumer experience and manage store budgets.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in recruitment and training of store staff.
• Solid understanding of visual merchandising and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to achieve targets and deliver the required consumer experience.
• Manage controllable costs and efficiencies to improve profitability.
• Responsible for the management of the sales floor during trading hours.
• Review opportunities and consumer feedback to improve sales and take appropriate action.
• Lead implementation of the trading plan, including visual merchandising, for trading periods.
• Plan staffing levels against trading plan and manage rotas.
• Ensure payroll and HR forms are completed for timely payments and development of management team.
• Recruit, develop and train a high performing and engaged team.
• Manage Health and Safety procedures in store and compliance.
• Handle employee relations and HR issues in line with company policy.
• Maintain development plans and performance reviews.
• Ensure stock and cash procedures meet company standards.
