Job summary

Heron Foods is seeking a Duty Manager for the NEW STORE at Trethevin, Pontypool (NP4 8JB). The role covers 36 hours per week with a pay rate of £13 per hour. You will lead the team, uphold customer service standards, and ensure the store is clean, well-stocked, and profitable.

You’ll hold a keyholder position and manage store openings and closes in the Store Manager’s absence. The role offers perks such as employee discounts, career development programs, wellbeing support, and recognition

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Retail Supervisor, Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Team Manager, or Shift Manager in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Exceptional organisational abilities and a passion for customer service.
• A proactive, energetic approach to managing a dynamic retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional results.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving queries effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, well-presented, and fully stocked store.
• Driving sales and profitability by managing performance and efficiency.
• Being a keyholder and taking responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager (including store openings and closes).
