Job summary

Health Promotion Fife is seeking a Stop Smoking Advisor to support the delivery of NHS Fife’s Stop Smoking Service and contribute to the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership’s Smoking Cessation Local Delivery Plan Target for 2026/27.

This full-time post will play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of people across Fife by delivering high-quality, evidence-based stop smoking support in line with national and local tobacco control strategies, policy and service priorities.

Qualifications

• Must have professional or academic qualification or significant stop smoking experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based stop smoking interventions across Fife, focusing on priority and inequalities groups.
• Increase engagement at community level, especially in deprived communities and with health inequality groups.
• Undertake client assessments, make pharmacotherapy decisions, provide ongoing support and complete 4- and 12-week follow-ups.
• Use effective engagement to support referrals from four priority groups into the Stop Smoking Service.
